Megha City Gas Distribution Private Limited

September 28: In December 2015, the then Prime Minister, who participated in the COP21 Paris Convention and committed that by 2030, India will work towards reducing the intensity of carbon emissions recorded in 2005 by 33%.

Megha City Gas Distribution Private Limited (MCGDPL) is growing to be a leader in the Indian City Gas Distribution (CGD) Network. Right from the day we started our journey, we have been striving to provide reliable, affordable, and eco-friendly fuels to improve the quality of a commoner’s life and reduce carbon emissions.

We at MeghaGas envisage an energy-efficient India. We are now the authorized entity to Build, Operate and Expand City Gas Distribution (CGD) Projects. These projects cater to the country’s energy needs by supplying green fuels such as Piped Natural Gas (PNG) for household, commercial, and industrial consumers with cost-effective piped connections and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) for transportation. We established CNG stations and City Gate Stations (mother stations) and laid the main and distributary network pipelines.

MeghaGas launched its CGD activities in 2015 in Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna district, Karnataka’s Belgavi district, and Tumkur district. Within a short period, we expanded our services to Telangana’s Nalgonda, Rangareddy, Khammam, and Warangal districts. Starting with a presence across seven geographical areas, we extended our service network to 16 districts across three states, and now we are spreading our wings to 62 districts across ten states in India.

We recently bagged 15 Geographical Areas for City Gas Distribution (CGD) Networks, the highest the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has awarded under round 11 of CGD projects bidding. These 15 geographical areas are across the Indian states of Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh. With these new 15, our total Geographical Areas for City Gas Distribution (CGD) stands at 22.

MeghaGas is extremely proud of its presence and contribution to the field of hydrocarbons.
